The posting, in Axle Health's own words
archived Oct 30, 2026About Us
Axle Health builds AI scheduling and workforce management software to empower in-home healthcare providers to deliver exceptional, personalized care right where patients feel most comfortable—at home. Some of the biggest providers in the country use our software (like Cityblock Health and U Penn Health System) to improve the utilization of their field teams by 17%+, and automate the operational burden of scheduling and dispatching. Our platform includes proprietary logistics algorithms to optimize scheduling, a mobile app for field staff, an operations dashboard for office teams, engagement and booking tools for patients, and a wide range of integrations and external APIs for modular access. We’re a team of top-tier engineers and operators, backed by $14m from top investors such as Y Combinator, Pear VC, and F-Prime, applying our intellect and logistics experience to upend how home healthcare is delivered.
About You - The Role
Axle Health is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Interoperability team, the group that connects our AI-powered scheduling and workforce management platform to the systems home health organizations already run. Most of those are EHRs and EMRs that weren't built to integrate cleanly: inconsistent APIs, thin documentation, and vendors you have to connect with for answers. Getting data in and out of them reliably is what makes Axle Health part of a clinician's day, and this role owns that work end to end. The person who thrives here wants to own the hard problem. When a customer reports that something looks wrong, you dig in, figure out where the issue lives, put together a plan, and see it through while keeping the customer and our delivery team informed. You'll scope your own projects, make the technical calls, and drive them from the first conversation through production support without someone mapping out each next step. This is a hands-on individual contributor role on a small team, and the integrations you build carry real weight for our customers and our product. You've done this before. You've built and maintained integrations with external or legacy systems you didn't control, from design through the production issues that come after launch. You've worked somewhere operations depend on data arriving on time, whether that's healthcare, logistics, field services, or another operations-heavy business, and you've done it at a startup or growth-stage company.
