The posting, in Cerebras's own words
archived Oct 21, 2026Cerebras Systems builds the world's largest AI chip, 56 times larger than GPUs. This architecture allows Cerebras to deliver industry-leading training and inference speeds; over 10 times faster than GPU-based hyperscale cloud inference services. This order of magnitude increase in speed is transforming the user experience of AI applications, unlocking real-time iteration and increasing intelligence via additional agentic computation. Cerebras works with the leading model labs, global enterprises, and cutting-edge AI-native startups. OpenAI recently announced a multi-year partnership with Cerebras, to deploy 750 megawatts of scale, transforming key workloads with ultra high-speed inference.
The Role
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate the AWS infrastructure that powers Cerebras' products and platform. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role at the intersection of infrastructure engineering and reliability — you will architect scalable cloud systems, drive infrastructure-as-code practices, and partner with engineering teams to ensure our production environment is fast, resilient, and secure as we scale.

Responsibilities
Architect and operate core AWS infrastructure: VPCs, EKS/ECS, IAM, networking (Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, PrivateLink), and data services (RDS, S3, ElastiCache). Own the reliability posture of cloud workloads — define SLOs, error budgets, and runbooks; lead incident response and durable root cause remediation. Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and GitOps pipelines; eliminate manual provisioning entirely. Design and implement multi-account AWS organization strategies (AWS Organizations, Control Tower, SCPs) for security and cost governance. Instrument cloud infrastructure with comprehensive observability — metrics, tracing, alerting, and cost visibility using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or CloudWatch. Drive automation for provisioning, scaling, patching, and lifecycle management to eliminate toil. Partner with security, networking, and platform teams on cloud security architecture, identity federation, and network reliability. Evaluate and adopt AWS-native and third-party tooling to improve developer experience and infrastructure efficiency.
