Company Operating Rhythm
At Deepgram, we expect an AI-first mindset—AI use and comfort aren’t optional, they’re core to how we operate, innovate, and measure performance. Every team member who works at Deepgram is expected to actively use and experiment with advanced AI tools, and even build your own into your everyday work. We measure how effectively AI is applied to deliver results, and consistent, creative use of the latest AI capabilities is key to success here. Candidates should be comfortable adopting new models and modes quickly, integrating AI into their workflows, and continuously pushing the boundaries of what these technologies can do. Additionally, we move at the pace of AI. Change is rapid, and you can expect your day-to-day work to evolve just as quickly. This may not be the right role if you’re not excited to experiment, adapt, think on your feet, and learn constantly, or if you’re seeking something highly prescriptive with a traditional 9-to-5.

Team Overview
Events and field marketing are Deepgram's largest demand generation investment, and this role owns North America. Reporting to the Director of Demand Gen, you'll run 20+ trade shows and conferences each year, partner co-hosted programs, and field programs with Sales, splitting your time between flagship brand moments and programs that move target accounts. You'll help set event strategy with marketing leadership and work closely with regional sales leaders, Product Marketing, alliances, Demand Generation, SDRs, and Marketing Operations. The role starts as a senior individual contributor, with room to grow a team.
Key Goals
Run the North America trade show and sponsorship portfolio end to end, from turnkey kiosks to flagship presences at AWS re:Invent and Dreamforce, including budget, MDF and partner co-op funding, contracts, and vendors. Help set event strategy, the annual plan, and the calendar for third-party and hosted events with marketing leadership, backed by data on budget, investment tiering, and portfolio mix. Equip Sales, alliances, and Demand Generation before and after marquee events so they invite the right accounts and turn attendance into pipeline, expansion, and retention. Keep every event on product messaging and the voice of the customer, timed to product launches and sales priorities. Design and run field programs with regional sales leaders, such as executive dinners, roadshows, customer events, and account-based plays against named target accounts. Co-host events with hyperscaler, CCaaS, and voice AI partners like AWS, Twilio, Five9, and NVIDIA, so Deepgram shows up where their customers already are. Concept and deliver brand activations at competitor-heavy shows, from stadium takeovers to interactive demos and hosted moments. Close the loop on every program with same-day lead logging, a fast-follow SLA with Sales, clean SDR routing, and a standard post-event scorecard tied to pipeline and cost per opportunity. Grow Deepgram Speak as a first-party event series and support community programming in our SF and NYC offices.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities
Has run flagship presences at large-scale shows (re:Invent, Dreamforce, or similar) end to end: contracting, booth, logistics, staffing, speakers, and lead capture. Owns both trade shows and field programs hands-on, and treats regional sales leaders as core partners. Shapes an annual event plan, not only executes one: makes tiering and portfolio calls with data and can explain what to cut and why. Ties event and field activity to sourced and influenced pipeline in Salesforce, working with Marketing Ops on campaign setup, attribution, and lead routing. Analyzes funnel metrics and event ROI, and presents clear recommendations to executive and sales leadership. Manages program budgets, negotiates vendor contracts, and holds agencies to quality and timelines. Takes an original creative concept from sketch to a fully produced experience. Operates AI-native: builds AI and automation workflows that cut manual work in planning, logistics, comms, and reporting, and turns them into playbooks others adopt. Flags risks and opportunities early and keeps many stakeholders aligned through clear communication.
