About the Role
Delinea is seeking a Director of Product Marketing to own the product story for our identity security platform across our three business units: AI, Workforce, and Workload. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will own the platform narrative and competitive positioning, and equip marketing, sales, and the field to carry that story into market. The role blends strategy with hands-on execution: you will set the direction and write the messaging your team and the wider marketing org build on. Key Responsibilities Platform Narrative & Positioning Own the platform messaging architecture as its single named approver: category definition, platform claim, shared proof points, and the hierarchy connecting AI security, PAM, runtime authorization, identity governance, and the StrongDM and Fastpath portfolios into one story. Define platform-level value propositions for an agreed persona set (CISO, IAM leader, security architect, platform engineering) that BU messaging specializes rather than restates. Serve as final reviewer on message fidelity for launches, analyst briefings, the annual Identity Security Report, and flagship campaigns. Corporate and brand narrative stays with the CMO; you own everything below it. Product Messaging, Positioning & Naming Hold BU messaging consistent with the platform layer on four defined elements: category definition, platform claim, shared proof points and metrics, and competitive positioning against named platform competitors. Everything else is the BU's call. Own product and portfolio naming so what we call things reinforces the architecture. Maintain the messaging frameworks that differentiate us across human identity, non-human identity, and AI, and set the substance bar for the case studies, briefs, and thought leadership built on them. Field Enablement Own the substance and quality bar for platform-level enablement: the core narrative curriculum, competitive plays, objection handling, and the certification standard for what a seller must be able to say. Sales Enablement owns delivery; you own whether the content is right. Certify field readiness before every tier-one launch and re-certify on a set cadence. Arm demand generation, field marketing, and content teams with the narrative, proof points, and guardrails their programs run on. Practice Leadership Across the Business Units Own the standard of excellence for product marketing at Delinea: the craft bar, leveling and career framework, onboarding, playbooks, and review cadence PMMs are held to, wherever they sit. Join every PMM hiring loop and leveling decision alongside the GM, and submit a written craft assessment at review; the GM owns the rating, development plan, and compensation. Chair a recurring product marketing council across the BUs, Marketing, and Sales, where narrative conflicts get resolved. Coach PMMs and product managers on messaging craft. Competitive Intelligence & Analyst Relations Lead and grow the competitive intelligence function, one analyst today and two to three as the practice scales, with coverage mapped to the business units: continuous programs rather than ad hoc battlecards, one framework and one source of truth, and a defensible point of view on where the identity security market moves next. Feed structured win/loss, buyer research, and competitive findings into roadmap and pricing decisions with the CPO and GMs. Own the substance of analyst relations: submissions, briefings, and the evidence base needed to defend Delinea's standing in the major identity and PAM evaluations, with Corporate Comms owning the calendar.
