About the Role
Industrious forecasts revenue across a global network of flexible workspace locations, and the next step is making that forecasting predictive rather than reactive, while building equally strong visibility into the sales pipeline that feeds it. That is the challenge this role exists to solve. As Manager, Commercial Analytics, based in New York and reporting into Commercial Strategy & Analytics leadership, you will own the models, data, and narrative that let Finance and commercial leadership see what is coming before it shows up in the numbers. The role calls for Strategic Thinking, because the real value here is spotting what pricing and pipeline trends mean before they hit the topline, and Problem Solving, because the data you need rarely arrives clean or connected. If you want to build a capability rather than maintain one, and you want your forecasts to be the thing leadership actually plans around, this is a role where that is the job itself.
What Might Your Day Look Like
Your Tuesday starts with a half-built forecast model open on one screen and a message from Finance on the other, asking whether this quarter's number still holds. You pull fresh data from Salesforce and Looker, reconcile it against what Snowflake is telling you, and start testing whether a slowdown you're seeing in one region is noise or signal. By mid-morning you're on a call with Finance, walking through where the forecast and the budget target diverge and what would need to be true to close the gap: a stronger renewal pricing assumption here, a faster lease-up there. You're not setting the prices yourself, but you are turning what pricing and sales are already seeing into a number Finance can plan against. In the afternoon you turn to pipeline: which deals are moving, which are stalling, and whether a particular product tier is underperforming across the portfolio. You build the view that did not exist before, the one that lets commercial leadership see sales velocity and conversion the way Finance already sees revenue. You close the day writing a short memo, not a dashboard dump: here is what we're confident about, here is what's shifting, here is what we'd watch next. It lands in front of people who will act on it without needing to double check your work.
What You Will Own
Build and continually refine the models that forecast revenue performance across the global network, so the business can act ahead of a slowdown rather than react to one. Stand up clear visibility into pipeline health, conversion rates, and sales velocity, turning a gap in the current picture into a view commercial leadership can actually use. Partner with Finance to connect commercial forecasts to company-level budgets and planning cycles, bridging the gap between target and forecast with assumptions both sides trust. Shape decisions on pricing, unit economics, and marketing and sales efficiency by turning raw data into analysis people can act on. Pull disparate, often messy data out of Salesforce, Looker, and Snowflake into one reliable, defensible picture of the business. Translate models and analysis into memos and presentations that Finance and commercial leadership can act on directly, without needing it re-explained. This role rewards Ownership, since you will be building much of this analytical foundation yourself, and Communication, since none of it creates value until leadership can understand and act on it.
