What You’ll Do
Scale a Business Bet: Take an existing Ontra bet, such as KYC and third party vendor management, and grow it into a fully scaled, profitable business. Own the Outcomes: Drive growth in logos and revenue alongside gains in speed, cost, and quality, with real accountability for ARR, margin, and innovation targets. Build and Defend the Plan: Craft a 2027 strategic business plan grounded in sharp market and competitive analysis, and earn buy-in from Ontra’s leadership team and the broader organization. Lead Across Functions: Partner with Product, Engineering, UX, GTM, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to align on scope and roadmap and decide where to invest for scale. Manage Resourcing: Own hiring and labor-model decisions for your bet, including engineering, product, and human-in-the-loop talent. Tell the Story: Communicate your vision concisely to the board, the company, and future teammates, and keep your focus on the biggest bets by sometimes saying no to good ideas that aren’t great fits. What You’ll Bring Experience: 10+ years of experience spanning product or engineering, private equity portfolio operations, corporate development, startups, and/or venture building, with a track record of scaling a business from early stage to material ARR. Cross-Functional Partnership: Experience partnering with Product, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, and UX teams, with a GM/PM hybrid operating model preferred. Business Case Strength: Proven skill in business case and competitive analysis, weighing market opportunity against complexity to identify where Ontra has a right to win.
