As a second-line expert, you will validate our Enhanced Investigations and suspicious activity reports before they reach the French Financial Intelligence Unit (Tracfin), and shape how we detect and investigate financial crime — from complex risk scenarios to better procedures. 👩 💻🧑 💻 As an AFC Expert (France) at Qonto, you will Validate: Review, correct and autonomously validate the Enhanced Investigations drafted by the AFC team before they are declared to Tracfin. Report: Draft, review and validate Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for Tracfin, including the most complex cases (large networks, tax fraud involving several groups), and handle complex authority requests. Control quality: Run systematic quality controls on our second-line work and, occasionally, on alerts handled by the first-line AML and Fraud teams, so that standards and regulatory deadlines are always met. Improve detection: Propose complex risk scenarios and emerging trends for our transaction monitoring and customer risk rating, update our investigation procedures, and drive improvement projects end to end (for example AI and network analysis) that fit your interests and specialisation. Coach: Be the go-to reference for junior colleagues and give detailed methodology feedback to the AML and Fraud teams, and share what you learn. 🤔 What you can expect Fast-paced environment:  We operate in a dynamic fintech setting where reactivity and adaptability are key; you will work through a high volume of cases without compromising on quality ("Go fast but do it right"). Collaborative culture:  You will join Juliette’s close-knit AFC team that values peer support, with weekly team meetings and regular 1-on-1s to foster your growth. Influence & development: Your feedback and procedures directly shape how AML, Fraud and Onboarding work. You will see a variety of cases (AML, tax fraud, corruption, scams, fraud in general) and can deepen the specialisation that fits you through projects. Tools:  You will work with our internal proprietary back-office tools and communicate via Slack. 🤝 About your future manager Your future manager will be Juliette , Head of Anti-Financial Crime France Her path: After a Law degree and a Business School diploma, Juliette discovered her passion for Compliance and Financial Crime. Previously, she was a Compliance Officer at Coinhouse, a crypto-specialised fintech, and worked in the white-collar department of a law firm. At Qonto, she has done in-depth investigations in our Financial Security team and worked on building tools and processes. What she brings to the team: Juliette values teamwork and builds a collaborative environment. Her law and compliance background helps her navigate the complexity of the financial industry. She puts communication and knowledge sharing first, and fosters a culture that encourages growth and development. 🏅 About You Languages: You speak French fluently with impeccable writing skills (our authorities only work in French, so spelling, grammar and syntax are non-negotiable). You also speak English fluently. Background:  A Master’s degree in Law is a plus. Experience: You have 2–3 years of experience in second-line Anti-Financial Crime compliance, you know the job, and you have already written Enhanced Investigations and suspicious activity reports. Analytical mindset: You are rigorous and detail-oriented, you synthesise complex information into clear, regulator-ready reports, and you can challenge colleagues’ work constructively. Initiative: You anticipate needs, flag issues and propose improvements rather than waiting for direction. You are curious about AI and automation, and you stay accountable for your decisions when using them. You want to deepen your expertise in an area such as tax fraud, corruption or fraud.
