Job Overview
The Systems Integration & Test (SI&T) Manager is responsible for the installation, integration, and test of Combat System equipment aboard ship during the post-delivery shipyard period. Working on-site at the shipyard, you will track combat system hardware from delivery through installation, coordinate the delivery and installation of tactical software and adaptation data, and drive the sequence of stage testing, and Combat System Light-Off that brings the ship’s combat system to life. You will serve as a key integrator for Saronic, working with shipbuilding customers, the combat system engineering agent, and equipment and software providers — keeping configuration, schedule, and test status aligned so the ship achieves a safe, on-schedule, and fully qualified combat system.

Responsibilities
Combat system equipment tracking & configuration Track Combat System hardware — including Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE)/Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE) — from delivery and receipt inspection through staging, installation, and turnover aboard ship. Maintain combat system configuration accountability, reconciling installed equipment against baselined configuration documentation and field changes. Manage material readiness — track shortages, discrepancies, and long-lead items, and coordinate resolution with suppliers and the Government (as required). Maintain equipment and cabling installation status against the integrated master schedule. Hardware installation & integration Coordinate installation of combat system elements — e.g., AN/SPY radar, command and decision, weapons control, display, and fire-control equipment — with shipbuilder and installing-activity trades. Verify installations against drawings, interface control documents (ICDs), and alignment requirements; coordinate combat system alignment and cable continuity checks. Resolve installation discrepancies and integration issues, escalating trouble reports and liaison action requests as needed. Software delivery, installation & adaptation Coordinate delivery, receipt, and installation of tactical computer programs, adaptation data, and baseline updates. Verify software configuration and version control across computing infrastructure. Coordinate software load, initialization, and pre-test checkout with the combat system engineering agent. Stage testing, light-off & qualification Plan and coordinate combat system stage testing, System Operability Verification Tests (SOVTs), and element-level checkout. Coordinate Combat System Light-Off, including readiness reviews, safety prerequisites, and go/no-go criteria. Support integrated test events through such types as Combat Systems qualification trials, and post-delivery availabilities.. Track test procedures, results, deficiencies, and retest; drive closure of trouble reports and departure-from-specification items. Coordination & information management Serve as the SI&T point of contact across Saronic, the combat system engineering agent, and equipment/software providers. Maintain and brief installation, integration, and test status; manage action items, risks, and schedule impacts. Support turnover of the qualified combat system to the operators.
