Key responsibilities:
Build trusting, strategic relationships with research leaders, principal investigators, program directors, and IT teams to understand their organizational goals, scientific priorities, and impact objectives, identifying opportunities for optimization and expanded AI deployment in service of their research mission
Become an expert in Anthropic's products across the API, Claude for Enterprise, Claude Code, and Claude for Life Sciences (including scientific tool integrations and agent skills), understanding the technical nuances and best practices for each to guide partners to the right solutions
Monitor usage patterns and proactively drive adoption across your 1:1 accounts, identifying optimization opportunities and discovering new applications for Claude
Develop and execute change management strategies appropriate for scientific and academic organizational cultures, driving adoption through Train the Trainer programs, Center of Excellence development, and organizational enablement that respects partner capacity constraints, governance requirements, and decision-making processes
Establish the repeatable playbooks, templates, and health metrics that define what "great" looks like for both dedicated and scaled customer success in life sciences at Anthropic
Design and run one-to-many engagement programs for the life sciences community, such as live and on-demand webinars, hackathons and build days, cohort-based onboarding, office hours, and researcher user communities, that move a broad set of organizations from signed to activated and extend impact beyond individual partner relationships
Guide partners through the technical and governance foundation for launch, including SSO and provisioning, workspace configuration, and data handling considerations relevant to research and health data (such as HIPAA, IRB, and institutional data policies), so research and IT leaders trust the deployment from day one
Document and quantify value realized through research productivity, time-to-insight, program effectiveness, cost savings, and mission amplification to build compelling cases for continued investment in AI, and partner with Marketing to develop success stories and reference accounts
You may be a good fit if you have:
6+ years of experience in Customer Success, Technical Account Management, or Solutions Engineering
3+ years of experience in life sciences research with ample exposure to the intersection of new technologies as a catalyst for accelerating progress
Experience working directly with life sciences organizations, such as academic research institutions, nonprofit research institutes, foundations, biotech, or pharma, and familiarity with how scientific research is conducted, funded, and governed.
Deep understanding of regulations, risk, and compliance needs of the industry
Experience driving success across both consumption-based and seat-based business models, with understanding of different expansion levers and success metrics for each
Experience designing and delivering one-to-many customer programs (webinars, hackathons, cohort-based onboarding, user communities, or similar) alongside managing dedicated strategic accounts
Operate data-driven and AI-first, using adoption signals and program effectiveness to guide decisions and building agentic, Claude-powered workflows into how you engage partners, so the scaled motion runs on automation rather than heroics and your time goes where it does the most public good
Technical fluency with the ability to understand and articulate AI/ML concepts, API integrations, and software implementation patterns; familiarity with scientific data types, research workflows, or bioinformatics tooling is a strong plus
Experience explaining and demonstrating technical products to diverse audiences, from bench scientists and computational researchers to institutional leadership
Strategic mindset to identify growth opportunities for expanded scientific and health impact and translate them into actionable expansion plans
Passion for both AI and accelerating scientific progress, with strong interest in ensuring frontier AI systems are developed safely, ethically, and deployed to benefit society
A knack for bringing order to chaos and an enthusiastic "roll up your sleeves" mentality. You are a true team player

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
