We are looking for a detail-oriented, strategic Sr Global Billings Lead to oversee our global billings and order management function, partner cross-functionally across go-to-market and systems teams, and lay the operational foundation to support Asana’s rapid growth . This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule . The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday . Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays . Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner . What you’ll achieve
Partner with the Deal Desk and Sales (Revenue) teams to structure complex deals, advise on non-standard billing requests, and build a solid foundation for the enterprise quote-to-order process . Collaborate with Enterprise Technology (Fintech) to scale the quote-to-order process and execute ongoing system enhancements . Lead SKU and systems launches in cross-functional partnership with Product, Finance, and Revenue Operations to ensure complete billing readiness for new product offerings . Serve as the dedicated operational owner for strategic commercial accounts, providing high-touch support to execute complex contractual terms, usage, pricing, and invoicing accurately throughout the customer lifecycle . Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for billing system changes and new product releases, coordinating across stakeholders to validate end-to-end workflows prior to go-live . Manage the month-end close process, including journal entry reviews and AR/billings reconciliations between Zuora and NetSuite . Establish and maintain SOX controls with detailed preparation and review documentation . Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to a global team of Billing Analysts and an offshore vendor team to drive operational excellence . Identify continuous opportunities to improve operational efficiency through process optimization, automation, and strategic vendor management .

About you
Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making . Proven leadership experience in billings and order management, including directly managing team members and leading offshore vendor operations . Functional expertise with consumption-based billing models, including metered usage, overages, and committed structures . Experience supporting multi-billion dollar enterprise accounts, channel partners, and resellers in a fast-paced software or SaaS environment . Solid understanding of financial platform tools such as Zuora Billing, Zuora Revenue (RevPro), NetSuite, Salesforce CPQ, or Metronome . Familiarity with revenue recognition concepts (such as ASC 606) and SOX control environments . Strong adaptability with a track record of driving clarity and structure in fast-paced or ambiguous environments . Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of partnering effectively with cross-functional stakeholders . To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check our selves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit . For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $121,000 - $138,000 . The actual base salary wi ll vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualific ations objectively assessed during the interview process . The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range f or this role may be modified . In addition to base salary, your compen sation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits .
