What You'll Do
Define target-state architectures, data models, domain structures, and integration patterns, ensuring alignment with business objectives, enterprise standards, and non-functional requirements. Design scalable data platforms and solutions leveraging technologies (including but not limited to Snowflake, dbt, and cloud-native services), with a focus on performance, security, resilience, and cost efficiency. Architect modular, microservices-based solutions incorporating REST APIs, API gateways, and modern data ingestion and integration patterns. Establish and promote consistent data modelling, naming conventions, semantic definitions, and data management standards to support interoperability, discoverability, and reuse. Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams to translate business and technical requirements into architecture designs, assess source-system integration feasibility, and validate proposed solutions. Lead technical design reviews, assess architectural decisions, dependencies, and risks, and provide practical recommendations to maintain consistency and minimise implementation rework. Facilitate architecture discussions, prepare technical documentation and presentations, communicate design decisions, and contribute to architecture governance forums. Provide architectural guidance to delivery teams, ensuring solutions adhere to agreed standards, design principles, and implementation best practices.
