The Newscast Director communicates and executes all technical aspects of live production with the technical staff, including the producer, technical director, audio operator, studio team and engineering.
Responsibilities
Direct broadcast newscasts. Provide creative input while working with the newscast producer and production crew. Ensure clean technical execution of the overall look of the newscast. Call and punch newscasts. Post content to the station website as needed.

Requirements
Two or more years of experience directing and technical directing newscasts. Experience with production switchers, video servers, audio equipment and studio equipment. Understanding of MOS and basic computer networking. Understanding of newsroom systems, including ENPS and video playback systems. Technical ability to resolve existing issues and work around problems that arise during live news. Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including holidays and weekends. Related military experience will be considered.
