Overview
Enterprise Foundations is the engineering team responsible for the architectural and integration work that allows Instacart's Retailer Platform to scale across the world's largest grocers. Our work spans omnichannel integrations — bringing products like FoodStorm catering and Caper Carts onto unified Instacart platform rails — enterprise extensibility (sandbox environments, configuration systems, retailer-facing tooling), and the cross-cutting data isolation work that allows Instacart's ML and Data Engineering teams to safely build bespoke models on top of the platform. As Instacart's enterprise retail business expands to hundreds of partner brands and new international markets, this team's work is foundational to how the platform matures. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to own and ship one of the team's most complex multi-quarter work-streams — at the seam of omnichannel identity, international storefront search expansions, and partner-owned integrations that we ultimately operate ourselves. You'll be the technical DRI for your area: framing the problem, designing the systems, driving the rollout, and codifying the patterns so the rest of Enterprise Platform can adopt them without your direct involvement. You'll work closely with Staff engineers on the team who set the team-wide architectural thesis, and partner across Connected Stores, Professional Services, Commerce, Search, Data Engineering, and ML to land integrations that hold up across organizational boundaries.
