The posting, in Lucid's own words
archived Nov 5, 2026About Lucid At Lucid, we are creating exceptional mobility experiences through innovation to drive the world forward. Built on Lucid’s proprietary technology and software-defined vehicle architecture, our award-winning vehicles bring our “Compromise Nothing™” approach to the global automotive market. That means refusing to choose between performance and sustainability, design and engineering, ambition and integrity. In Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity, we have designed and built vehicles that have redefined their segments, combining exceptional range, performance, design, and expansive space in a single experience. We achieve this through deep vertical integration, with design, engineering, and production happening in-house across our global offices and manufacturing facilities. Our teams come from industries around the world, united by a shared commitment to excellence. By refusing to settle, you can help redefine what’s possible and shape the future of mobility. As a Test and Validation Engineer, you will take responsibility for the development and execution of automated test systems for drive units and powertrain components. Based on your expertise, you will lead or support the testing of specific sub-systems, ensuring that all performance, durability, and environmental tests are executed efficiently. You will also collaborate with senior engineers to drive the development and execution of test cases and support Design Verification and Product Reliability (DVPR) activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize automated test systems for EV drive units and powertrain components. Lead or support performance, durability, and environmental tests, including HALT, for EV drive units. Collaborate with senior engineers to drive test cases, ensuring that all Design Verification and Product Reliability (DVPR) activities are supported and completed. Analyze and interpret test data using numerical tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, AVL PUMA, REPS) and provide actionable insights. Develop and execute test plans and validation procedures to validate hardware against customer and industry requirements. Work with design engineers to identify issues and improve powertrain designs based on test findings. Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results. Contribute to the continuous improvement of test processes to reduce testing cycle time and improve test coverage. Support junior engineers and technicians in test execution, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
