The posting, in Lyft's own words
archived Oct 19, 2026At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive. The Marketplace organization at Lyft is responsible for accelerating the growth of the business while delivering on key business and financial metrics, and Pricing sits at the heart of it. The Dynamic Pricing & Offer Selection team uses real-time and historical data to set the price of every ride on Lyft, balancing price and ETA so riders have a great experience and drivers have earning opportunities when and where demand is highest. We also decide which ride options a rider sees, which makes our systems one of the highest-traffic, most business-critical services at the company. We're a tightly integrated team of software engineers and data scientists spread across the US and Canada. Engineers and scientists work side by side to take machine learning and optimization models from research to production while scaling our systems to handle more volume. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a group of 6-8 engineers. You'll own the reliability and evolution of dynamic pricing systems that operate at Lyft's full scale, partner closely with our technical and product leadership to define the roadmap, and grow a strong team of engineers. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys going deep on technical tradeoffs, cares equally about operational excellence and business outcomes, and is energized by working in a fast-paced environment with high impact.
