The posting, in Roblox's own words
archived Sep 9, 2026Every day, tens of millions of people come to Roblox to explore, create, play, learn, and connect with friends in 3D immersive digital experiences– all created by our global community of developers and creators. At Roblox, we’re building the tools and platform that empower our community to bring any experience that they can imagine to life. Our vision is to reimagine the way people come together, from anywhere in the world, and on any device. We’re on a mission to connect a billion people with optimism and civility, and looking for amazing talent to help us get there. A career at Roblox means you’ll be working to shape the future of human interaction, solving unique technical challenges at scale, and helping to create safer, more civil shared experiences for everyone. As the Engineering Manager for Enterprise Security and IAM, you will lead the team that builds and operates the systems protecting Roblox's corporate infrastructure - endpoint security, network security, enterprise application security, and identity and access management. Where traditional enterprise security teams evaluate and deploy vendor solutions, your team designs and builds production-grade security software. This is a player-coach role: you own the roadmap, hiring, and growth of the team while still leading design reviews. You will set that bar and raise it. You'll partner with security leaders across InfoSec and work cross-functionally with Corporate Engineering, DevOps, IT, and Product teams to drive security initiatives that reduce risk without slowing the company down. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Enterprise Security and is based in San Mateo with a hybrid schedule.
You will:
Lead and grow the team: Hire, coach, and develop a team of security software engineers. Own performance, career growth, and the technical culture of the team. Build alongside your team: Contribute directly to design and implementation on the highest-leverage problems. Lead by example in code and design review. Own the Enterprise Security roadmap: Define and drive strategy across endpoint security, network security, enterprise application security, and identity and access management - balancing near-term risk reduction with durable platform investment. Build identity and access at scale: Own the IAM ecosystem your team builds - SSO federation, SCIM provisioning and deprovisioning, OAuth 2.0 authorization, fine-grained authorization services, and token lifecycle management for both human and non-human identities. Lead identity for agentic AI: Set direction for how AI agents authenticate and are authorized at Roblox, including agent identity issuance, authorization for MCP servers and tool access, delegated access, scoped credentials, and short-lived token flows with auditable guardrails. Drive secure-by-design outcomes: Partner with Corporate Engineering, , IT, and product teams to embed identity, authorization, and endpoint and network controls into enterprise systems, developer workflows, and AI tooling. Drive cross-functional programs: Lead initiatives from strategy through execution across organizational boundaries, and communicate risk and progress clearly to senior leadership.
