ABOUT SUPPLY CHAIN AT ROCKET LAB:
Rocket Lab’s Supply Chain team is responsible for the flow of all materials , products , and components through the business . With many of our own products functioning as critical components to our own and our customers ’ missions , the Supply Chain team has a direct impact on the success of our rocket and satellite programs . They set up the assembly kits that enables our technicians to put together our Electron rockets , manage inventory , look after shipping and receiving , manage direct and indirect procurement , and inspect and ensure that all of our materials and products are compliant and up to standard . We’re looking for a highly organized, detail‑driven Inventory Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you’ll help keep thousands of components and hundreds of orders moving seamlessly to internal and external customers, ensuring our production teams have what they need, exactly when they need it. You’ll be central to supporting daily and weekly production targets and championing Supply Chain DIFOT performance. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Receive and process inwards goods on a FIFO basis, following all SOPs. • Maintain stock accuracy through cycle counting, investigations, and ERP updates. • Keep the warehouse organised to 5S standards and ensure key processes remain in control. • Deliver components, kits, Kanban materials, and raw materials to support production priorities. • Pick, pack, and dispatch items efficiently while supporting operations with logistics runner tasks. • Work cross-functionally to remove bottlenecks and support internal customers with professional service. • Follow health & safety procedures, wear required PPE, and report incidents promptly. WHAT YOU WILL BRING • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within manufacturing. • Confidence with ERP systems and the ability to learn new systems. • Exceptional organisation skills, strong attention to detail, and a systematic approach. • Ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities, and meet tight deadlines. • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset. • A proactive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude.
