About the role
The Safety Firmware Team builds the next generation of intelligent video and AI-driven safety solutions, bringing high-performance camera systems and real-time edge computing into Samsara's fleet and industrial products. We deliver low-latency, high-quality video processing, voice powered and advanced models at the edge, and we ship them as complete products that run from the device to the cloud. This role is for a hands-on technical leader who goes deep on firmware but is just as comfortable across the full stack: embedded systems, Go backend services, and web and mobile surfaces. You are AI-native in how you work, you move fast, and you own outcomes end-to-end. You think like a product and systems owner, you move easily across teams, and you want to shape Samsara's edge AI strategy, mentor engineers, and ship work that makes a real difference. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US and Canada.
