Sprout Social is looking to hire a Staff Software Engineer, Web to the Engineering team. Why join Sprout’s Front-End Engineering team? What you’ll do

Write clean, performant, and maintainable code. Provide technical leadership and guidance to other team members, including less experienced engineers. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, designers, and product managers, to deliver world class customer experiences. Participate in and conduct code reviews to maintain code quality, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards. Continuously improve the codebase by identifying areas for refactoring and optimization to enhance maintainability and scalability. The minimum qualifications for this role include:

7+ years of experience with planning, building, and releasing web applications with frontend technologies (Angular or other major framework, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS) Strong expertise in TypeScript Fluency in agentic coding workflows (Claude Code/Codex/Cursor) Communication, project management skills from collaborating with people across different teams and functional areas.

Have an understanding of all aspects of our web application, including every module, less common use cases and all the Personas within our user base. Demonstrate end-to-end responsibility for delivering roadmap projects on time, from technical planning to performing/guiding implementation to testing to final delivery. Balance the continuum of trade-offs during code design, knowing that solutions can favor faster delivery with less strict technical requirements or solutions can favor future technical maintainability with delayed delivery of customer value. Identify a technical initiative (e.g. technical debt, introduction of a new system, need for a new JavaScript dependency, performance improvement, etc) for your team. Of course what is outlined above is the ideal timeline, but things may shift based on business needs and other projects and tasks could be added at the discretion of your manager. Individual pay is based on geographic zone, relevant experience, and skills. Our current hiring range for this role: 29,400 - 36,750 monthly on a B2B contract. Offers are made within this range, with opportunities to grow within the broader band based on performance and impact. We share both our current hiring range and our broader geographic salary bands to provide transparency into our compensation philosophy. This ensures you understand not only your starting potential but also the long-term growth opportunities available as you progress in your role. The full base pay range for this role is 29,400 - 44,100 monthly on a B2B contract. These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach; we used data from trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable, consistent, and competitive ranges.
