The posting, in SumUp's own words
archived Oct 27, 2026Team description
You'll join the Sell Online Tribe, the team building the tools that help millions of merchants, from barbers to retailers, sell their products and services online. Our portfolio includes Online Store, Bookings, Payment Links, and Gift Cards, giving merchants everything they need to showcase their offerings, manage appointments, share payment links, and get paid. As our Senior Product Manager for Customer Directory, you'll own how merchant customer data works across SumUp's wider ecosystem, including Online Store, Bookings, POS, Invoicing, Payment Links, Loyalty and other SumUp products, not just the Sell Online portfolio. You'll build a clear, trusted customer view from the ground up and set the standard other teams build on, laying the foundation for future capabilities like deduplication, segmentation, CRM, consent-aware communications, and customer self-service. If you enjoy bringing structure to a genuinely blank canvas problem and care about getting privacy and data rights right from day one, this is a rare opportunity to shape it from scratch.
What you'll do
Define the product strategy and roadmap for a shared customer directory that works across Online Store, Bookings, POS, Invoicing, Payment Links, Loyalty and other SumUp products Lay the groundwork for future capabilities like deduplication, segmentation, CRM and consent-aware communications Make the core product decisions on customer identity, data ownership, permissions and consent, and how records get linked across products Partner closely with engineering, design, privacy and legal teams to deliver a trusted customer view merchants can actually use Turn merchant research and product data into clear requirements that cut down duplicate and incomplete customer records Align priorities and dependencies with product managers from other SumUp products building on the shared customer model
