The role

A curious problem solver who challenges the status quo A collaborator who values teamwork and knowledge-sharing Excited by the intersection of technology, creativity and data Experienced in Agile methodologies and consulting (a plus) Role responsibilities Provide day-to-day service management for real-time fraud detection and the bank's centralised audit database, required for SOX compliance. Key Responsibilities Subject Matter Expertise - Develop deep working knowledge of Banks (Retail & Corporate) applications, their services, batch jobs, and integration points. Incident & Problem Management - Monitor and manage incidents in ServiceNow, ensuring timely triage, escalation, and resolution across both platforms. Proactive Monitoring - Oversee Pre-Production and Production environments during working hours using Dynatrace, Kibana, and other monitoring tools to catch issues early. Drive Best Practices - Apply ITIL Service Management principles to continuously improve incident, problem, and change processes. Out-of-Hours Support - Participate in planned out of hours patching and change activities (~2-3 times per month), coordinating with Unix, DBA, and infrastructure teams to minimise disruption. Obsolescence & Migration Support - Contribute to strategic infrastructure programmes including: • Application replatforming from RHEL 7.9 to RHEL 9 and removal of legacy clustering • General obsolescence such as RHEL 7.9-> 8 updates or RabbitMQ/IBM MQ upgrades
Must have qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: IT Service Management experience in financial services or a regulated environment Strong ITIL knowledge (Incident, Problem, Change Management) ServiceNow experience Familiarity with Linux/RHEL and on-premises hosting Comfortable with periodic and planned out-of-hours working Strong stakeholder management across multiple technical teams
