We are looking for a seasoned consulting people leader and trusted C-suite advisor who excels in high-stakes enterprise environments, drives large figure services bookings, and is passionate about scaling professional services operations. As a Manager, GTM Engineering you will manage day-to-day operations for your team, own their capacity planning and utilization, shape pre-sales strategy, serve as an escalation point on critical engagements, and partner with GTM Consulting leadership to ensure seamless collaboration across both sub-disciplines.
What You'll Do:
Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing GTM Engineer team, including Team Leads, Senior GTM Engineers, and Principal GTM Engineers, through regular one-on-ones, performance feedback, career planning, and promotion advocacy. Own capacity planning, utilization, and staffing across active engagements and the pre-sales pipeline, balancing customer commitments, team workload, and growth priorities. Partner with Sales leadership and account teams on pre-sales technical strategy, scoping standards, pricing and hour estimation, and enterprise SOW review for build-oriented engagements. Serve as the escalation point for the most complex or at-risk engagements, intervening on scope, staffing, solution architecture, and customer relationship issues. Set and enforce delivery standards for solution design, build quality, documentation, testing, handoff, and customer enablement across all GTM Engineering teams. Establish and maintain operating rhythms for the discipline, including weekly staffing reviews, engagement health reviews, project status updates, and time tracking compliance. Drive hiring strategy, interviewing, and onboarding for GTM Engineering, including role definition, leveling decisions, and structured ramp plans for new team members. Own performance management and leveling decisions for the discipline in partnership with practice leadership, ensuring consistent application of the shared leveling framework. Identify skill gaps across the team and build training, certification, and enablement programs covering platform capabilities, data, automation, APIs, MCP, and AI-enabled solution patterns. Partner with GTM Consulting leadership to define engagement entry points, staffing models, and collaboration patterns for hybrid engagements requiring both strategic transformation and technical execution. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, CX Ops, and Customer Success leadership to ensure solution feasibility, surface product gaps, and represent field technical needs in roadmap discussions. Report on utilization, pipeline, engagement health, delivery quality, and customer outcomes to practice and executive leadership, including portfolio-level status and risk visibility. Drive continuous evolution of the discipline's service catalog, solution playbooks, estimation models, reusable architectures, and technical IP to improve scalability and consistency of delivery. Maintain selective personal involvement in strategic customer relationships and high-stakes engagements, serving as an executive sponsor or technical advisor where needed.
