What You’ll Do
Direct integrated biddable strategy across paid social, paid search, programmatic, retail media, and emerging channels, with clear roles for each channel in the customer journey. Turn client business priorities into actionable audience, investment, creative, data, platform, and measurement decisions. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior clients. Bring a point of view, show the evidence, name the tradeoffs, and recommend a path forward. Guide planning, activation, optimization, and measurement through channel leaders and specialists, ensuring the work reflects the strategy and meets a consistent quality bar. Use working knowledge of major platforms to challenge assumptions, assess platform and product choices, interpret performance, and direct optimization—without needing to be the day-to-day campaign operator. Manage biddable investment as a connected portfolio, balancing near-term performance with brand, customer, and enterprise value. Connect biddable teams to strategy, creative, commerce, CRM, analytics, and brand media so integration changes the work, not just the meeting cadence. Shape testing and measurement agendas using incrementality, experimentation, attribution, modeling, platform signals, and informed judgment. Advance practical uses of automation and AI that improve speed, quality, or insight, with clear human ownership and controls. Manage relationships with platforms, technology providers, data partners, and service partners, holding them accountable for transparency, performance, and value. Support the commercial health and growth of the capability, including scoping, staffing, pricing, margin awareness, retention, and new-business development. Lead and develop managers and channel specialists, creating clarity, accountability, and stronger decision-making across the team. Represent Digital Matter in senior client conversations, pitches, and industry discussions with a distinctive, evidence-based point of view. What You’ll Bring Leadership experience in biddable or performance media, with accountability for complex client portfolios, teams, and business outcomes. Deep expertise in paid social and strong working knowledge across paid search, programmatic, retail media, commerce, and emerging auction-based formats. A track record of connecting specialist channel excellence to integrated communications, customer, and growth strategies. Credibility with senior client executives and the ability to communicate complex technical, commercial, and measurement issues with clarity. Strong commercial judgment, including experience with revenue, pricing, staffing, margin, partner economics, and scope management. Practical fluency in experimentation, incrementality, attribution, modeling, first-party data, privacy-aware activation, and platform measurement. Experience scaling operating models, automation, or AI-enabled workflows while maintaining human oversight, quality, and accountability. Demonstrated success building leadership teams, developing talent, managing performance, and creating succession plans. The ability to lead through ambiguity, make informed decisions without perfect information, and adjust quickly as evidence changes. Preference and commitment to maintain a hybrid model in New York and client travel as business needs require A collaborative leadership style grounded in transparency, ownership, curiosity, and respect for functional expertise.
