The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating, and supervising the programs for assignment, utilization, maintenance, and repair of fleet vehicles distributed across locations throughout the state of Texas. The role serves as the primary contact concerning the vehicle fleet and service need. The role also provides backup coverage on delivery or transport routes as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Fleet Management Monitor, schedule, and maintain records of fleet maintenance and repairs utilizing company software. Schedule fleet activities, including maintenance downtime, to meet route resource needs. Work with external vendors, including sales and repair facilities as needed. Maintain inventory of fleet-related materials for vehicles, such as telematics devices, dash cameras, and materials used in performing deliveries. Monitor and rotate vehicle location assignment and route scheduling to maintain even mileage accumulation across fleet vehicles. Maintain a database of Vehicle and Driver information within designated company software. Assist with vehicle exchange and replacements. Assist with process improvements. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations.

Resource Management:
Manage fleet vehicle life cycle from purchasing through retirement. Working with the Dispatch team, manage daily vehicle assignments for routing. Manage document storage in company systems.
Training/Replacement Duties:
Train drivers on SOPs for telematics software and maintenance/repair communications. Cover delivery or transport routes as a backup driver as needed.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Deep understanding of vehicle and fleet maintenance, with direct fleet management experience preferred. Proven experience in logistics or a related field. Strong organizational and communication skills. Experience with GPS telematics software and fleet management systems. Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently. Flexibility to fill in for various roles as needed.
